Rachel McAdams for new villain in Spider-Man 4
November 18, 2009
Looks like one sleezy lizard villain isn't enough for the success of a forth sequel of the Spider Man franchise (gee, who would have though?). So rumors have it (mania.com ) that director Sam Raimi is running auditions for another Spider Man villain, namely one that's curvy, hot and furry. If you need a hint, you've already seen one very much alike in Batman, the Catwoman.
Felicia Hardy, or Black Cat, could be initially viewed as a villain, since all the black stuff, black tight vinyl suit, but in time she develops into a potential love interest for Spider Man, thus turning to the shady gray area of morals. This is the character that Rachel McAdams (Wedding Crashers, Sherlock Holmes) is auditioning for, and we are very curios to see how she'll manage the part. We're not convinced that she could manage to create an evil aura with her delicate features and big blue eyes. But tight pants and dyed blond hair can get you a long way, as these are the requirements of the role.
Black Cat is known for her supernatural ability to alter “the odds” of bad things happening to her enemies during fights. Literally, she brings bad luck. Other facts regarding this forth installment of Spider Man is that the movie might also feature a third villain, namely another male role, along the Dr. Curt Connors (Dylan Baker) who was expected to change into the Lizard. If producers learned anything from their mistakes is that Spider Man 3 brought some negative critics on the fact that 3 main villains was a tad much for the movie plot, so we might give up on one rumored villain in the last installment.
