The Golden Globe Nominations are now available to the public, stirring up rumors and debates about the possible winners of 2009. One of the stars of the movie competition is Avatar, which managed to receive nominations at four categories: Best Motion Picture - Drama, Best Director (James Cameron), Best Original Song (“I Will See You”), and Best Original Score. Other close runner-ups are Inglorious Basterds (director Quention Tarantino), The Hurt Locker, Nine, Up in the Air, and Invictus.

A completely new and unexpected apparition in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture is that of Gabourey Sidibe, who delivered a wonderful performance in the movie Precious.

These are the current nominations for the Golden Globe Awards. Keep you fingers crossed for your favorites!
