The Trailer of “The Karate Kid” movie is here

December 23, 2009

When I've heard that a remake of “Karate Kid” was on its way, I was pretty curious to see if the performance of Jackie Chan will leave up to Mr. Miyagi's legacy. Well, although the trailer doesn't reveal too much information, it's easy to see that the plot resembles a lot to the original “Karate Kid” movie: a kid (Jaden Smith) who doesn't adapt well in a new environment (China) and a teacher (Jackie Chan) who is willing to make him learn karate in an unconventional way. At this point the outcome is no surprise: a fighting contest and some fast karate moves.

If we add some humorous moments and a good soundtrack, the movie may be convincing enough to make you take up one month of karate lessons. Enjoy the trailer and tell me what you think:
