Golden Globe Awards
January 18, 2010
Yesterday was the Golden Globe day for all movie directors, actors and actresses that featured in or worked at movies in the last year and hoped to earn nominations or even the big prize. Unlike previous years, 2009 was a close race for the first place, as new talents struggled and provided worthy performances that closely followed those of renowned artists.
It was hard to agree on anything precisely, as major contenders for this year's main Golden Globe awards were box office hits like Avatar, Inglorious Basterds from Tarantino and the very popular Up in the Air. Film critics favored the latter one as the winner, as it won the NBR award and other awards, but the results were quite different. Avatar won the award for Best Motion Picture, as well as Best Director, and the path for the Oscars nomination results seems pretty set...Check out the full list of winners here.
