Hello Connie, After a thorough research, I can tell you that the e-reader from Barnes&Noble, Nook, supports Adobe Digital Editions, along with the ePub and PDF formats, only that the Nook has to be connected to your PC via USB and the books will not benefit from full functionality, such as the lending and syncing feature (as the books bought from Barnes&Noble). Also, after connecting the Nook to your PC, you'll be able to drag and drop the desired books into the e-reader. To see other devices compatible with Adobe Digital Editions just go here: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/devices/#cmsrHope this helps, Happy Holidays! Joshua Mitchell
