Nokia N8 – an European phone comes to USA

Nokia, the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer revealed on 27th April** its newest smartphone Nokia N8, which is eager to compete with Apple's iPhone.

With a curved body, made out of one piece of anodized aluminum, and a 3.5-inch HD touchscreen, Nokia N8 is the first smartphone to be powered by the new Symbian^3 platform and use the Qt cross-platform application framework. The new OS - Symbian^3 platform brings multi-tasking controls and a homescreen that can be customized and loaded with all sorts of applications and widgets.

Besides the improved OS, the Nokia N8 comes with a 12MP resolution photocamera which benefits from Carl Zeis optics and a Xenon Flash. Also, N8 gives the user the possibility to capture and edit high definition videos. The Finnish phone also has with a HDMI connector for plugging into a TV, so you can watch your home made videos on a flat screen. You can store all those home made videos on the 16GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 32GB with a micro SD card.
