Gadgets to give, Gadgets to receive

9. Motorola Droid

Born from the Google-Verizon agreement, the Droid is the first phone to have as an operating system Android 2.0. This slider smartphone was intensely promoted by Verizon as an alternative to Apple's iPhone, being able to do what iPhone can't (It's Magic...).

Having a 3.7 inch touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard, the Droid is able to satisfy any typing need. The 5 MP digital camera assures both beautiful pictures, thanks to the flash, autofocus and “real-time color effects”, and a crisp video capture. Its multimedia capabilities are completed by the music player and by the Google Maps Navigation functionality.

In terms of connectivity, the Droid comes with an USB 2.0 port, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth features, and supports emails, SMS, MMS, IM (Instant Message) and Voice Mail, with some limitations. The memory capacity can go up to 32 GB if a microSD card is used, while the interchangeable lithium-ion polymer battery can work up to 7h.

With a slim body (4.56 x 2.4  x 0.54) and a price tag of $200 (with a 2 year contract with Verizon), the Droid can be a nice gift to please your sweetheart.
