8. Zune HD

If you are not good at singing serenades under her balcony, than this year you could buy her a Zune HD. Luckily Microsoft has released two new colors this December: purple and magenta, and of course there's also the classical red option.

Zune HD comes in two versions 16 GB and 32 GB, at a $220 or $290 price tag, has a 3.3 inch multitouch OLED display, comes with a video (HDMI or composite) and audio output, plus the 3.5 mm headphone jack, while the rechargeable, but non-removable lithium-ion battery can last up to 33 hours when playing music.

Zune HD takes its name after the compatibility with the 720p format HD, and the HD AV Dock (sold separately), which can be used to see HD movies on a HDTV. Other features which make Zune HD to be a good buy are the: Wi-Fi connectivity, web browser, built-in FM/HD radio, quickplay functionality, built-in accelerometer, and the possibility to run 3D applications (even 3D gamming with the 4.3 firmware update) thanks to the Nvidia Tegra graphics processor.

With an elegant design and powerful feature, this Microsoft media player can conquer anyone. For a full article on Zune HD click here.
