The new Kindle DX - worth it or not?

The agglomerated e-Reader market has a new addition starting today. Amazon.com has just announced the entry of the new Kindle DX with a lower price tag and improved specs.

The new Kindle DX has a bigger screen, 9.7 inch e-ink screen with 50 percent better contrast, and now comes with a new graphite color finish. And just like the previous generation of Kindle, this new e-Reader has also Wi-Fi connectivity for free: no bill and no contract :) You can download new content via Wi-Fi in less than 60 seconds. The improved device can store up to 3500 books and has a battery that last up to two weeks without wireless connectivity.

Kindle DX benefits from Whispersync technology, which helps to automatically save and synchronize book libraries and last page read. According to Amazon.com, the new Kindle DX also has a built-in PDF Reader, social networks and auto-rotating screen. The new e-reader comes with a new feature: "text-to-speech", which can read newspapers, magazines, blogs and books out loud.

The new Kindle DX starts shipping to 100 countries on July 7th at a price tag of $379. For those of you who prefer ordering online, you should now that you can do that starting today on Amazon.com. So, hurry up!
