October 9, 2009

The two giants - Verizon and Google - announced on Tuesday their partnership made with the ambition to develop an entire family of Android based mobile devices. This deal wants to strengthen Verizon's position on the smartphone market and offers Google almost 88 million new possible consumers. Both companies affirmed that they will devote “substantial resources to accelerate delivery of leading-edge innovation that will put unique applications in the hands of consumers quickly" and the immediate result will be seen in the next few weeks when Verizon Wireless plans to introduce an Android-based handsets.
