After "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" from 2004, the two anti-hero characters, try to go to Amsterdam so Harold can chase his dream-girl, neighbor Maria. After getting pass airport security, Kumar shows Harold on the plane that he smuggled in a smokeless bong. Although Harold goes nuts, a passenger sees them and yells "Terrorists!" and they are caught and sent back to Washington, from where they are shipped to Guantanamo Prison.

But things brighten up when they escape and hitch a ride to Miami, from where they go to Texas to stop Kumar's friend Vanessa from getting married and also, try and get help from Colton, her fiancee, a fellow with some high connections. When they see Colton's true face, the two of them are in for some serious trouble.
