Back in Springfield, Lisa fights hard against environment enemies and manages to get the locals to clean up their lake. After saving a pig from being slaughtered in Krusty Burger, Homer adopts it and names it Spider Pig. But in two days time, the pig filled an entire silo with poop (with a little extra help from Homer) and Homer, quite desperate, dumps the silo into the lake, polluting everything.

When they find out, furious Springfield mob forces the Simpsons to move to Alaska, while dumb president Arnold Schwarzenegger, induced by a cunning adviser from EPA puts a glass dome over Springfield to quarantine the area and the population, planning to destroy the city in just a couple of days.

When Marge hears the news back in Alaska, she tells Homer that they have to go back and save their town, but Homer is not convinced if people of Springfield deserve support until, through a series of unfortunate events, his own family gets trapped inside the dome.
