WHY BUY an iPhone ?

by Wendy Brighton  |  February 16, 2009

Dear iPhone,

Today I started wondering why buy YOU now, if I didn’t do that already? You must realize that I am just a normal person, with a normal interest in high-tech; for sure I am not an Apple addict, and like me are millions. My cool friends have YOU, and my un - cool friends want YOU.

Me - I'm pragmatic, so let’s see what YOU can do:

YOU are a phone - useful; a Blackberry - more useful; a 2 mega pixel camera - almost useful; a GPS - useful indeed. And an advanced iPod - useful and cool!

YOU have a touch screen - comfortable for my fingers.

YOU have a screen of 3.5 inch on diagonal.

YOU are resistant - someone has done some drop test and some scratch test on your relatives.

YOU have WIFI and Bluetooth connections - can come in handy.

YOU recently have a reasonable price (from 600 $ in the past - to 400$ for the 8GB model and 200$ for the 4GB model).

YOU can also be used for watching TV.

YOU have a split screen possibility - nice.

and lastly - I have to admit  - YOU are very fashionable, slim, easy to use gadget.

Now, after knowing all that, I ask myself why buy 5 gadgets (1.phone, 2.IPOD, 3.blackberry, 4. camera, 5.GPS) when I can buy YOU?

In spite of the fact that your performances are limited and can not replace for example an actual camera, YOU still are a great deal for an ordinary person, with ordinary daily activities. Suddenly buying YOU seems the best deal ever, and let’s not forget that in the package there's also a touch of coolness.

I wrote and thought so much of YOU that I am beginning to think of myself as an iPhone addict.

See you next time,
an Ordinary Addict
